New Pentagon-Sponsored Study Reviews IT Acquisition Processes

Defense Science Board members this month began a congressionally mandated evaluation of the Pentagon's information-technology acquisition processes. The goal is to determine if existing DOD policies and processes can function as an "effective acquisition model" for information-technology purchases, Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics John Young wrote in a May 1 memo.
