Northrop Grumman: Delivery of Makin Island Amphibious Ship Delayed Until Next Year

The final vessel of the Navy's Wasp-class amphibious assault ships will not be delivered this year as originally scheduled, which could potentially have an impact on the readiness of the fleet, according to the shipbuilder and the sea service.
