Northrop Grumman Receives Global Hawk Contract

Nine days after acting Pentagon acquisition chief David Oliver signed a memo moving the Global Hawk unmanned air vehicle program into engineering and manufacturing development, the Air Force awarded Northrop Grumman a $45 million contract to support EMD. The $45 million cost-plus-award-fee contract calls for Northrop to "provide for engineering and manufacturing activities," according to a Defense Department statement released today.
