Official: Navy will likely split up enterprise network re-compete award

The Navy will likely make multiple awards as part of its Next-Generation Enterprise Network follow-on competition, rather than dealing the work to one prime contractor, according to a program official. The NGEN contract supports the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), the largest internal network in the world with over 700,000 users spread across approximately 2,500 locations.
