Officials Lay Out Imposing Set of Air Force QDR Goals

Air Force officials last week outlined an imposing set of goals for the Quadrennial Defense Review that include a fundamental shift in Defense Department warfighting concepts and a massive service funding boost. Senior Air Force officials, in a lengthy meeting with defense reporters, said traditional warfighting concepts have not kept pace with what air power can offer commanders -- and the QDR should address this capability-to-CONOPS mismatch, they believe.
