Omnibus appropriations bill boosts legacy Army programs

The $1.7 trillion omnibus appropriations bill unveiled by Congress Tuesday would boost funding for some of the Army's major ground vehicle and helicopter programs. The omnibus bill includes $858 billion in defense spending for fiscal year 2023. It must be passed by the House and Senate before midnight Friday to avert a government shutdown.
