Outgoing Pentagon acquisition chief worries Trump will appoint 'outsiders'

Frank Kendall, the Pentagon's outgoing acquisition chief, said today he is worried that the Trump administration will seek to appoint officials from the private sector who are not familiar with the Defense Department or its culture in an effort to achieve some sort of creative disruption. Kendall, who spoke Tuesday at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said he also opposed legislation in the Fiscal Year 2017 National Defense Authorization Act that disestablishes his office and divides its responsibilities...
