PACFLT amphib demos Navy laser tech, more experiments to come

A U.S. Pacific Fleet amphibious ship successfully "disabled" an aerial drone using a solid state laser prototype earlier this month, according to a Navy statement. The demonstration is one of a series of experiments the service is planning.
