PACOM Chief: Air-Sea Battle Concept Not Aimed At China

U.S. Pacific Command chief Adm. Samuel Locklear today attempted to ease concerns that the Defense Department's Air-Sea Battle concept is aimed at any particular country, namely China, or is encouraging U.S. adversaries to employ or expand their nuclear capabilities. "There's a perception that all these things we're doing is an attempt to contain China," Locklear told reporters during a Pentagon briefing today, adding that he and other U.S. officials have told China "there's no need or intention" to do so...
