Patriot Missile Defense Systems Begin Arriving In Turkey

Elements of Patriot missile defense systems intended to defend Turkey in the event of an attack from Syria began arriving in Turkey this morning, said Namik Tan, the Turkish ambassador to the United States. The Patriot systems, which will be operated by NATO, are important because Syria, which is engaged in a civil war, has weapons of mass destruction as well as ballistic missiles capable of reaching nearly all corners of Turkey, Tan told reporters at a breakfast in Washington...
