Pentagon Announces $2.7 Billion in Proposed Foreign Military Sales to Saudi Arabia

The Pentagon today announced that Saudi Arabia has requested more than $2.7 billion in foreign military sales, the bulk of which would go toward maintaining its fleet of F-15 aircraft. Congress has to approve all FMS deals before they are finalized. Saudi Arabia would get $1.6 billion in Air Force and contractor technical services, spare and repair parts, support equipment and simulators for its F-15 fleet, according to the Defense Department announcement.
