Pentagon Announces Plans to Sell Rivet Joints to England

The Pentagon has told Congress it wants to sell the United Kingdom three RC-135 Rivet Joint signals intelligence aircraft to the tune of more than $1 billion, the Defense Department announced this afternoon. The official notification comes more than two months after Inside the Air Force first reported the British government was interested in purchasing the high-tech aircraft from the Air Force.
