Pentagon Appeals House Authorizers' Cut to Prior-Year DDG-1000 Funding

The Pentagon is appealing a $150 million cut in prior-year shipbuilding funds for the Navy's DDG-1000 program in the fiscal year 2010 House defense authorization bill, which the Defense Department argues would force the service to rebid the contracts and raise the cost of the three ships under contract.
