Pentagon Awards $8.6 Billion F/A-18E/F Contract

Boeing has been awarded a multiyear contract worth $8.6 billion for the production of 210 F/A-18E/F Super Hornet aircraft, the Pentagon announced today. McDonnell Douglas, owned by Boeing, will build the aircraft over five years, with work expected to be completed in October 2011, the Pentagon statement reads.
