Pentagon cyber chief David McKeown says there are ongoing discussions to create a "cyber secure framework" for the defense industrial base that will go beyond the CMMC program and be based on the NIST cybersecurity framework. The Defense Department is taking on several projects to work with DIB partners in response to the Ukraine invasion, including through CISA’s “Shields Up” initiative.
