Pentagon delays F-35 Block 4 DAB until this fall as JPO refines cost, schedule estimates

The Defense Department has postponed a planned Defense Acquisition Board meeting for F-35 follow-on modernization until this fall, according to Pentagon acquisition chief Ellen Lord. The joint program office originally expected its new Block 4 modernization plan, which will incorporate a concept for more rapid, iterative software production called Continuous Capability Development and Delivery, to be approved in October 2017.
