Pentagon establishes exemption process for civilian hiring freeze -- 'We are in this together'

The Pentagon has established an official process by which the Defense Department can grant exemptions to President Trump's order to temporarily freeze all federal hiring of civilians. The freeze, directed by a Jan. 23 presidential memorandum, does not apply to military personnel.
