Pentagon Mulling Huge Cuts To The Defense Bureaucracy

Deputy Defense Secretary Ashton Carter has directed officials to develop options for how to cut the size of the headquarters of the military services and the defense agencies by 33 percent, according to officials familiar with the internal guidance.
