Pentagon No. 2 reaffirms artificial intelligence principles, establishes 'Responsible AI Working Council'

The Biden administration is carrying forward Trump-era principles guiding the military's use of artificial intelligence. In a May 26 memo , Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks reaffirmed the "AI Ethical Principles" adopted by the Pentagon in February 2020 . The principles were first proposed by the Defense Innovation Board.
