Pentagon OKs Full-Scale THAAD Development

Senior Pentagon officials yesterday gave the Army the go-ahead to proceed with the engineering and manufacturing development phase of the Theater High Altitude Area Defense System. The Defense Acquisition Board's decision to allow EMD to start clears the way for a $4 billion contract to prime THAAD contractor Lockheed Martin.
