Pentagon Recertifies Navy Minehunting System Intended for Littoral Combat Ship

Despite higher cost estimates for the Navy's Remote Minehunting System, designed for use from Littoral Combat Ships, the Pentagon has told the service to move forward with the effort. In December, Navy Secretary Ray Mabus informed Congress the program had breached a congressionally mandated cost threshold.
