Pentagon reorganizes cloud group after industry outcry

The Pentagon has reorganized the steering group charged with accelerating the Defense Department's migration to the cloud after industry raised concerns over the group's initial plan to select just one cloud services provider for the entire department. The Cloud Executive Steering Group will now be chaired by Jay Gibson, the newly installed deputy chief management officer at DOD, while the previous chair, Pentagon acquisition chief Ellen Lord, is out of the group entirely, according to a Jan. 4 memo signed...
