Pentagon sent $128B in 'canceled funds' back to Treasury

The Pentagon between fiscal years 2009 and 2019 returned nearly $128 billion in "canceled funds" to the U.S. Treasury, according to a new report from the Government Accountability Office . The report, which looked at other federal agencies besides DOD, was required by the Fiscal Year 2020 National Defense Authorization Bill.
