Pentagon Still Catching Up On Contractors' Past-Performance Records

Defense Department officials are behind schedule to meet a White House mandate for reporting contractors' past performance, information that is supposed to be considered in source-selection decisions, according to a DOD memo. According to the latest quarterly compliance table, issued last month, the share of contracts for which officials had filed past-performance evaluations was 78 percent across DOD, up four points from the previous quarter.
