Pentagon wants to transfer $117M to help Jordan buy helos

The Defense Department seeks authority from Congress to transfer $117 million in funds from the overseas contingency operations account to support Jordanian helicopter procurement, according to a recent reprogramming request. The OCO funds would be transferred from the Counterterrorism Partnerships Fund to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency to "provide support and assistance" to Jordanian security forces conducting counterterrorism operations, according to the May 5 request signed by Pentagon Comptroller Mike McCord.
