Powell, Arab Allies Call for Refined Iraq Sanctions Policy

Secretary of State Colin Powell said yesterday the current sanctions regime against Iraqi president Saddam Hussein may be excessive and affecting the Iraqi people more than weakening the regime's power or war making ability.
