President Makes High-Level Air Force Appointments

The president has nominated Lt. Gen. William Begert for a fourth star and the position of Pacific Air Forces Commander, the Defense Department announced today. Begert is the Air Force's assistant vice chief of staff. He is slated to be replaced in that job by Lt. Gen. Lance Lord, the commander of the Air University. Lord, in turn, will be replaced by Maj. Gen. Donald Lamontagne, according to DOD. Lamontagne is the director for aerospace operations at Air Combat Command...
