President Officially Nominates Roche For Army Secretary

The nomination of Air Force Secretary James Roche to be Army secretary was sent yesterday to the Senate, the White House announced. The president announced his intent to nominate Roche in early May, just after Tom White resigned from the Army's top civilian post under pressure from Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
