President Bush has nominated Army Lt. Gen. Edward Anderson for assignment as deputy commander of the new U.S. Northern Command, slated to officially stand up Oct. 1. Anderson is the deputy chief of staff of U.S. Space Command and vice commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command. His boss, Air Force Gen.
