With procurement timeline deferred, Grey Wolf certification expected to continue throughout FY-22

Certifications for the MH-139A Grey Wolf are now expected to win Federal Aviation Administration approval over the coming few months and throughout fiscal year 2022, an Air Force spokeswoman said this week. The delayed approval of the supplemental type certifications, originally anticipated in fall 2019 and, more recently, at various points throughout 2021 , caused Air Force officials to cut the helicopters from their current budget request and defer near-term procurement until FY-23.
