Raytheon Technologies has been selected to produce SPY-6 radar variants for seven different types of Navy ships. The contract award was announced yesterday for $651 million and the options, if exercised, would bring the value up to $3.2 billion and five years of radar production to equip up to 31 Navy ships with SPY-6 radars, according to Scott Spence, executive director of Raytheon's Naval Radars.
