Report: 'Uncomfortably' Decentralized Decision-Making Key in Future Wars

Military commanders should embrace quick decision-making at low staff levels as a key prerequisite for victory in future wars, according to a new report from U.S. Joint Forces Command. Commanders should "delegate authorities to the point of being uncomfortably decentralized in order to get inside the adversary's decision cycle," the July report from JFCOM's Joint Warfighting Center states.
