Rumsfeld Asks Services to Review Force Balance in Iraq

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said today he has asked the military services to review the forces deployed in Iraq and assess whether those forces are properly balanced for the capabilities needed. During a Pentagon press conference, Rumsfeld said he spoke last week with Army Chief of Staff Gen. Peter Schoomaker about the review and expects to meet soon with the other service leaders.
