Senate authorizers propose steep cuts to embattled Army night vision program

Senate authorizers, in their version of the fiscal year 2025 defense authorization bill , have proposed cutting most of the procurement funding requested by the Army in the upcoming fiscal year for its Integrated Visual Augmentation System. The Army, in its FY-25 budget request, had included a total of $377.4 million for overall procurement of night vision devices.
