Senate Panel Approves New NORTHCOM, PACOM Commanders

The Senate Armed Services Committee voted today to approve the Bush administration's nominees for the top jobs at U.S. Northern Command and U.S. Pacific Command. Adm. Timothy Keating, the NORTHCOM chief, is slated to move to PACOM, while Air Force Lt. Gen. Victor Renuart is in line to take over at NORTHCOM.
