Senate Passes Budget Resolution Calling For $89 Billion OCO

The Senate passed a GOP budget blueprint Friday with a 52-49 vote that would boost the Defense Department's overseas contingency operations spending to $89 billion, while capping the base budget at $499 billion in fiscal year 2016 in accordance with the 2011 Budget Control Act.
