Senate policy bill devotes billions to Army's FY-18 unfunded requirements

Senate authorizers intend to provide the Army with billions of dollars in additional funding to support priorities outlined in the service's fiscal year 2018 unfunded requirements list. The policy bill passed by the Senate Armed Services Committee would boost by $6.4 billion FY-18 procurement spending on programs listed as Army unfunded requirements, with the greatest gains coming in missiles and weapons and tracked combat vehicles.
