Senator seeks to add cyber 'act of war' language to defense bill

Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) this week will attempt to add cybersecurity "act of war" language to the annual defense authorization bill being marked up in the Senate Armed Services Committee. Rounds' proposal, which he announced on May 6 , would require the president within six months of enactment to "develop a policy for determining when an action carried out in cyberspace constitutes an act of war against the United States" as well as revise the Defense Department's Law of War...
