Sequester Could Make Most Of CAF Non-Mission Capable By July

ORLANDO, FL -- The Air Force's chief of staff today quantified the impact of civilian furloughs on the service -- 31.5 million man-hours in what remains of fiscal year 2013 if those furloughs are exercised to their maximum legal extent. Gen. Mark Welsh also said 70 percent of the service's combat air forces, a general term for its fighter, bomber, command-and-control, and intelligence sectors, will be non-mission capable by July if sequestration and a continuing resolution funding the government remain...
