Sikorsky Given $105.9 Million Contract For Colombian Black Hawks

The Army announced today it has given Sikorsky Aircraft a $105.9 million modification to an earlier contract to build 14 Black Hawk helicopters for the Colombian military's fight against narco-traffickers. The Army awarded the original sole-source contract to Sikorsky in 1997. Sikorsky will configure seven of the helicopters for the Colombian Army and seven for the Colombian Air Force, according to a Pentagon statement released today.
