Some Contractors Ditch Services Work, While Others Forecast Growth Ahead

Even as some large contractors are jettisoning their services work, others are forecasting growth ahead in that area. Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems and L-3 Communications have all said in recent months they are planning to divest elements of their services work, in some cases arguing the units simply don't fit as well in their defense hardware-focused portfolios.
