Sources: QDR to Focus on Terrorism and Loose Nukes, But Not Post-Conflict Ops

The Pentagon's upcoming Quadrennial Defense Review will be focused on four strategic problems, including defeating terrorists, protecting U.S. territory from attack and deterring the conventional military of a future great power. However, in a development that has surprised many Pentagon officials, the sweeping strategy review is not expected to explore how the military can improve post-conflict operations, which have proved so problematic in Iraq.
