Space Fence IOC delayed seven months due to early schedule slips

Early construction and shipping delays have pushed initial operational capability for the Air Force's new Space Fence radar from September 2018 to April 2019. Inside the Air Force previously reported that construction delays at the Space Fence site at Kwajalein Atoll had pushed IOC to December 2018, but program manager Elaine Doyle recently confirmed that date has slipped again to April 2019.
