Standard Procurement System Users 'Fundamentally Dissatisfied'

Most users of the Defense Department's $3.7 billion Standard Procurement System are "fundamentally dissatisfied" with it, according to the DOD inspector general. In a report released today, the IG states that more than 60 percent of SPS users "preferred a procurement system other than SPS," while 63.5 percent said the system has not substantially contributed to DOD's paperless contracting goals.
