Steady ACV acquisition continues while Force Design cuts total procurement plan

The Navy's fiscal year 2024 budget request looks to continue a steady procurement schedule for the Amphibious Combat Vehicle while Marine Corps force design efforts scale back total procurement quantities for the program. The budget request seeks $557.5 million for 80 ACVs and anticipates procurement to climb to over 100 vehicles in FY-25. Meanwhile, Marine Corps Force Design 2030 strategy has pared down total ACV procurement by 44% from 1,122 vehicles to 632 according to the service’s budget justification documents...
