STRATCOM adviser says current GBSD plan is best path to deterrence

A retired Air Force major general who commanded the 20th Air Force and now advises U.S. Strategic Command said this week a hypersonic nuclear missile capability could be considered at a later point, but would not necessarily improve the deterrent offered now by America's intercontinental ballistic missiles.
