Teledyne Completes Agreement to Supply Turbine Engines for Production JASSMs

A derivative of the turbine jet engine used for Navy Harpoon missiles will power production-model Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles, Teledyne Continental Motors officials announced this week. An agreement between Teledyne and JASSM prime contractor Lockheed Martin means an advanced version of the J402-CA-400 turbojet used in the Harpoon will be built for JASSM, with production of the new variant expected to begin late next year.
