Testers press for urgent problem fixes in new Patriot software upgrade

Defense Department arms testers have flagged a series of deficiencies that they contend must be addressed in an ongoing software upgrade program for the Patriot missile defense system. The assessment is included in a report released this week by J. Michael Gilmore, the director of operational test and evaluation.
