House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry's (R-TX) effort to cut Pentagon bureaucracy was met with bipartisan opposition last night, despite paring back his initial proposal , which would have eliminated seven non-military management agencies in the so-called "Fourth Estate."
