Three Legacy AAV Variants Require Updated Intercommunications System

The Advanced Amphibious Assault program office is looking to replace the Assault Amphibious Vehicle's intercommunications systems, according to Dennis Boucher, AAV director. The new intercommunications system will be installed into all three AAV variants. The AAV-P7A1 provides armored transport and is equipped with an up-gunned weapons station used to provide supporting fire.
